On Saturday, Natalie posted a clip on her Instagram pointing out that she had been going through a tough time and said it was hard to watch the show again.

She said she found it difficult to let herself enter the process with “such hope and excitement” and shared that she was having a “decompression period.”

She said, “Hello everyone. First of all, thank you for everyone’s support. I had some incredible messages in my inbox. I’m just having some decompression time.

“It was a very bittersweet week for me. We ended in August, so I had some time to process things before the show aired. It was strange watching it again and seeing the hope and excitement I had definitely brought back feelings in me.

“I have a lot going on outside of this experience, so I won’t ignore your messages. I will answer. I just need a few days to relax and I’ll get back to you soon.”

A source told The Sun about their split: “As is often the case with these dating shows, it’s easy to build a connection while filming – there are no distractions, no worries in real life and you’re in one piece united.” common goal of finding love.

“Natalie and Paul’s flame burned brightly for a few months, but balancing life on the outside with nurturing their young relationship proved too difficult.

“With Natalie in Bournemouth and Paul in Bath, the distance was not insurmountable, but they were both independent people who lived great lives and in the end they came to the conclusion that their love was no greater than the hurdles.”

Natalie had previously posted on her grid: “Hello everyone. First of all, I just wanted to say thank you for the overwhelming support of everyone who watched the show and how much you invested in our journey.

“It was an incredible experience and we will be forever grateful for taking part.”

“Paul and I had an incredible experience at the retreat and enjoyed every moment, we maintained that connection throughout the summer and had some great times together.”

“Unfortunately, we decided to end the relationship at the beginning of August. We are both still friends and wish each other the best.

Elsewhere, My Mum, Your Dad stars Roger Hawes and Janey Smith confirmed they are still together after the final episode of the ITV show aired on Friday evening.

The new couple won over viewers of the middle-aged dating show when Roger found happiness again with Janey and his daughter Jess described him as a “different man”.

Postman Roger, 58, lost his beloved wife Joanne, 52, to cancer 18 months ago and signed up to the new ITV1 dating show to keep it going.

And on Instagram on Saturday, Roger revealed that he had done just that, admitting that it was difficult to “keep it a secret.”

Sharing a selection of adorable snaps of the couple, Roger wrote: “It’s been hard keeping it a secret but the wait is finally over.”

“Me and the beautiful @janeybombshell are still doing well and have never been better since we left @mymumyourdaduk ❤️

“We couldn’t be happier together and it wouldn’t be possible without @itv @davinamccall @mymumyourdaduk.”

Janey also shared a selection of sweet pictures of herself and Roger on her social media, including one of them in bed together, which she captioned: “What an amazing trip…Saturday morning just got a lot better ♥️.”

Their son Will also shared the happy news on Instagram that the couple are still doing well by posting pictures of him and Roger playing golf together in the pub.

My Mum Your Dad came to an end on Friday as the contestants’ journeys of love came to an end in the final episode of the older dating show.

The episode began with host Davina McCall shocking the cast as she revealed the series’ big twist, before the show’s ‘winners’ were announced.

While the parents thought relationship experts were monitoring their time in the Surrey house, it was actually their children.

The older generation was stunned when Davina revealed the big plot twist and Natalie exclaimed: “This is crazy.”

“This is a curve ball,” Roger announced.

Natalie and Paul and Sharon and Elliott also received their children’s blessings, but unfortunately it was the end of the road for Monique and Martin M as the mother decided to put an end to it.

Roger and Janey finally had their happy ending after both Jess and Will gave the couple the green light.

Roger lost his wife to cancer 18 months ago and viewers have seen how much he has grown over the course of the show.

The 58-year-old postman and father-of-three has signed up to the new ITV1 dating show to move on following the death of his wife Joanna – who “fell asleep on the sofa and never woke up” after finding a melanoma behind her ear.

Speaking to her father at the end of the last episode, she said: “When you look at you, there’s just less sadness and more happiness. ‘You’re like a different man.’

The 28-year-old admitted it was difficult seeing her father as a different woman, but she realized he had found happiness with Janey.

“Seeing Dad with someone who isn’t my mother wasn’t easy… I can’t help but protect you and just not want you to get hurt.” You’ve suffered enough injuries to last a lifetime survive. We all have.’

Unfortunately, the love between Monique and Martin M didn’t end after information from her daughter Taiya led the mother to call things off with her other half.

Upon reuniting with her mother, Taiya revealed that Martin had said the same thing to Monique and Tallulah at the same time.

The 21-year-old even called Martin out when she told him that “some similar words were spoken” while referring to him kissing both women on the neck.

She later told the cameras: “When I looked into Martin’s eyes, I definitely got all the answers I needed.”

Even Martin’s son Luke seemed to have doubts about the relationship as he confessed to Monique: “He put himself in a difficult position and to be honest I was for you for the most part.”

Later in the episode, Monique decided to end things when she admitted, “We’re not right for each other.”

She explained: “I’m not happy that we had some time to connect and that you didn’t take advantage of it. “It would have been nice if you were a little more interested in me and my life and what I was going through would be interested.

“I felt like the connection was lost for me. I felt like Martin was interested in everyone else and not me.”

But the other couples rejoiced as Kaliel and Mazey gave their blessing to Natalie and Paul, who are looking forward to a future outside of the show.

When asked if she saw a future with Paul von Mazey, Natalie replied: “I really hope so, if he is what he presents here then he is an incredible man.”

The episode ended with Roger toasting the incredible journey they’ve all been on and the future.

As he stood up, his comrades joked, “I thought he was going to propose back then!”

After the emotional episode, fans took to Twitter to share their thoughts on the series.
