Selena Gomez's music career may be coming to an end. The artist said she feels like she still has one more album to go, but will likely focus entirely on the dramatic arts in the future.
Selena made this statement on the SmartLess podcast, hosted by Jason Bateman, Sean Hayes and Will Arnett. When reminded that she didn't necessarily have to choose between one option or the other, the singer agreed, adding, “Yeah, you're right, but I'm going to want to relax because I'm tired.”
The 31yearold American said her goal from the start was to become an actress. “I never wanted to be a singer all the time, but it seems that hobby turned into something else,” she said.
Selena Gomez's musical career began when she won leading roles in the film “Another Cinderella Tale” (2008) and in the series “Wizards of Waverly Place” (2009).

Last year, Selena released the single “Single Soon,” which entered the top 20 in the US. As an actress, she has worked with acclaimed directors such as Woody Allen and Jim Jarmush and enjoyed a particularly successful time as Mabel Mora in the series “Only Murders In The Building”. For this role she is nominated for a Golden Globe and a Critics' Choice 2024.
