Myles Straw urged Yankees fans to ‘hit me motherfucker’: video

A short-lived mystery has been solved.

A new video clip reveals what was said between Yankees fans and Guardians outfielder Myles Straw before fans in the stands in right field threw trash and debris at Guardians players after the Yankees won 5-4 in the Bronx on Saturday .

Immediately prior to the incident, Cleveland players were reacting to the fans’ vitriol, which likely contributed to the post-game trash dumping.

Straw scaled the wall and spoke aggressively to fans after teammate Steven Kwan went down with an injury trying to smash Isiah Kiner-Falefa’s brace into the wall.

The new video shows Straw telling Yankees fans to “Hit me, motherf-ker” after climbing the wall. A fan is heard repeatedly yelling “going crazy” at Straw and fellow outfielder Oscar Mercado.

“Myles kind of stood up for his teammate. The boy is out there bleeding and checking him for a concussion,” Francona said. per Bally Sports Cleveland. “I just think the emotions are probably a little out of control. Regardless, I don’t think people can throw things at our players on the field. That will never be okay.”
