Blac Chyna toned down her look for Saturday’s NAACP Image Awards after being roasted by her own mother over the “horrible” Black Swan dress she wore to the Grammys.
The 34-year-old model socialite appeared in a low-cut orange dress with intricate detailing at the navel and shoulders.
Chyna stunned with her short pixie cut, flawless glam and an elongated manicure that added a subtle touch to her elegant look.
The rapper allowed her foot tattoos to be flaunted as she wore gold heels and posed with her leg peeking out from the high slit of her dress.
Chyna’s ethereal look was a total departure from her outfit at the Grammys, where she donned a gorgeous mix of jet black feathers that featured raven skull charms around the thighs of her bodysuit.
Toning down: Blac Chyna, 34, toned down her look for Saturday’s NAACP Image Awards after being toasted by her own mother over the “horrible” Black Swan dress she wore to the Grammys
Chyna’s over-the-top Grammys outfit didn’t get the approval of her brutally honest mom, Tokyo Toni, who toasted her daughter’s look to TMZ.
In the scorching runway show, Tokyo Toni – real name Shalana Jones-Hunter, 51 – gave her take on Chyna’s Black Swan outfit, which was one of the worst looks of the night.
Toni said: “I texted Chyna this morning and, um, when I found out and saw it, um, I was like, ‘Chyna, what the f*** is this? Who are you not trying to impress?”
Blac Chyna’s mom didn’t bother telling her daughter the cold, hard truth, as she said the outspoken criticism was “well deserved.”
“It might have been a little, um… mean or whatever, but it was well deserved,” said Toni, who didn’t get a text back from her daughter.
“No answer,” Toni stated. “Maybe I would have gotten an answer if I said, ‘Oh, your dress was beautiful.'”
“It was awful,” she announced, getting her point across. “And I just wish I could just rewind the whole day and bring her back and put her in a pretty gold dress with some blonde hair. We had happened. It was terrible.’
Toni kept scolding her daughter and found some interesting comparisons: “She looked like Black Adam’s wife had fallen from the sky. Like… a fallen angel. It was disgusting.’
Stunning: Chyna stunned with her short pixie cut, flawless glam and an elongated manicure that added a subtle touch to her elegant look
Leggy: The rapper allowed her foot tattoos to be flaunted as she wore gold heels and posed with her leg peeking out of the high slit in her dress
Work her angles: The star posed a storm for photographers at the event
And Chyna’s mum didn’t stop with her dress as she lit into the reality star’s inky eye makeup.
“Her eyes… they don’t look like Blac Chyna. It just doesn’t look like her at all, and that dress… I could have come and taken it off her myself.”
After unleashing her tirade on TMZ, Tokyo Toni closed with a few final thoughts — none of which were positive.
“I think she deserves the trolling because it’s well deserved. The Grammys should be… you should be dressed… very, very elegantly. Very, uh, pretty. Real womanly. You know?’
“And you don’t get any awards, but you should dress like you are one. And um… it was just awful. I wouldn’t wish this dress on anyone in the world. Looks like the devil.’
The 54th NAACP Image Awards were hosted on Saturday in downtown Los Angeles at Queen Latifah’s LA Live Event Deck.
The event recognizes outstanding performances and achievements by people of color in film, television, music and literature in 2022.
Beyoncé and Rihanna were among the winners to be recognized in one of the week-long non-televised categories ahead of Saturday’s main ceremony.
