Yesterday she brought three of her weapons to Covenant School – two rifles and a pistol.
Two other guns were seen being removed from the home in video obtained exclusively by yesterday.
At a news conference Monday, Nashville Police Chief John Drake said of her family: “They felt like she had a gun and that she had sold it. She was being treated by a doctor for an emotional disorder.
“Her parents didn’t think she should own guns, and they felt she didn’t anymore. But she had several hidden around the house.”
He added that Hale’s mother saw her leaving the house yesterday with a red bag and asked her briefly what was in it.
“She dismissed it because she thought it was just a motherly thing.”
Although she was receiving medical treatment, her “emotional disorder” had not been reported to authorities.
If it had, she might have been prevented from buying so many guns.
In addition to the guns found in her home, police recovered these three guns at the scene
