Cuban actress, reciter and presenter Natividad Díaz Chirino, known as Natacha Díaz, received today the National Television Award in recognition of her lifelong work.

The award was presented at the José Martí Memorial in Havana during a ceremony marking the 73rd anniversary of Cuban television.

The first secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba and President of the Republic, Miguel Díaz-Canel, congratulated the actress on the social network.

Natacha Díaz is a graduate of the Acting Training School of the Cuban Institute of Radio and Television (ICRT) and began her professional artistic career in 1969 in the theater group TACYA.

Her wide acting range has enabled her to take on both dramatic and humorous roles on television, as well as to appear as a presenter and speaker, conditions which she has fully developed.

He stands out in the soap operas El Viejo Espigón, El Año Que Nve, Salir de noche and Añorado Encuentro, as well as in the humorous plays Behind the Facade, Las Ants Locas and Tiempo de Maquina, and in the teletheaters Aire Frío and La Negra D.

He also appeared in the cinema in “Polvo Rojo”, “Plaff or Too Afraid of Life”, “The Nights of Constantinople” and “Although You Are Far Away”.

On the radio he took part in performances such as Grandes Novelas, El Cuento, Novela Cubana, The Great Adventure of Humanity and Por Nuestros Campos y Ciudades.

She completed a mission in Ethiopia as a musical comedian, presenter and actress. In France, Belgium and Spain he appeared in a French version of Macbeth as part of a variety show.

Díaz has received numerous awards and recognitions, including the National Culture Award and the Tropical Gypsy Award presented by the Havana Provincial Directorate of Culture, as well as the ACTUAR Lifetime Achievement Award.

In addition, she is the recipient of the Caricato Prize for Female Acting on Television, awarded by the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba for her performance in “El Año Vending,” and the Caracol Prize for Female Acting on Television, awarded by the Union of Writers and Artists is awarded by Cuba.
