Nate Berkus has been in the interior design industry for over two decades and has established himself as an internationally renowned designer and TV star. Now, for his latest project, he’s delved into the eternal question of storage – and how to maximize every inch of space.
As one of the most used appliances – in the most functional spaces – our refrigerators are a natural starting point for smoother storage. But with Nate’s “Game Changer” trick, organizing a fridge is easy.
“If you don’t use two-tier containers in your fridge, are you even a virgin?!” space is wasted,” he says.
The designer admits he uses the two-tier organizer in “several places” (including his coffee bar) in his New York home. However, this versatile solution is just as effective in the kitchen as it is in the bathroom or bedroom.
“It’s great because it keeps the kids’ stuff and fresh fruit super organized,” Nate explains in the Instagram footage. “I don’t like readjusting the height of all these shelves because sometimes you want something tall, like a water filter, but you don’t want to waste all the space above it.” “This two-tier sliding drawer is the perfect solution.”
