Nate Berkus Uses This Genius Storage Solution In His Fridge — And It’s A Game Changer – Homes & Gardens

Nate Berkus has been in the interior design industry for over two decades and has established himself as an internationally renowned designer and TV star. Now, for his latest project, he’s delved into the eternal question of storage – and how to maximize every inch of space.

As one of the most used appliances – in the most functional spaces – our refrigerators are a natural starting point for smoother storage. But with Nate’s “Game Changer” trick, organizing a fridge is easy.

“If you don’t use two-tier containers in your fridge, are you even a virgin?!” space is wasted,” he says.

The designer admits he uses the two-tier organizer in “several places” (including his coffee bar) in his New York home. However, this versatile solution is just as effective in the kitchen as it is in the bathroom or bedroom.

“It’s great because it keeps the kids’ stuff and fresh fruit super organized,” Nate explains in the Instagram footage. “I don’t like readjusting the height of all these shelves because sometimes you want something tall, like a water filter, but you don’t want to waste all the space above it.” “This two-tier sliding drawer is the perfect solution.”

Is this our new favorite kitchen storage must-have? Designed by Nate and used in his home we’d say it’s hard to compete.

Nate’s clear organizer features a convenient pull-out feature that allows for instant access. Thanks to the integrated handles, we can also easily grab the contents.

Following the launch of this collection, Nate sat down with H&G to discuss the importance of knowing exactly what’s in each drawer – and that includes the drawers in the fridge.

“I’ve known — not thought, I’ve known — for a long time how important it is to know what’s in each drawer,” Nate shared. “Being able to reach for something, whether it’s wrapping paper, ribbon, a pot or pan – knowing where to find it is an aspect of housekeeping that allows me to fill the space in a way that makes sense to me .”

Since Nate’s first appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2002, he has become one of the most recognized interior designers in the world. He is the author of two New York Times bestsellers and co-stars with his husband Jeremiah Brent on HGTV’s Nate & Jeremiah Home Project.

And besides the obvious use in our fridge, the manufacturer mDesign adds that this drawer is perfect for organizing a pantry. The 2-tier design offers twice the storage space, while the transparent composition lets us know exactly when to replenish supplies. “It’s easier than ever to find what you’re looking for while keeping your content visible, organized, and protected.” Now is the time to make the investment.
