The website tickets.ca denounces individuals who attempt to resell tickets at high prices for the national ceremony honoring Karl Tremblay to be held on Tuesday at the Bell Center, even going so far as to prevent resales on its website.

After a huge wave of outrage over the resale of free tickets complained of by Marie-Annick Lépine, Tickets.ca wanted to comment on the situation: “We share your concerns about the sale of tickets for the Karl Tremblay honoring ceremony. It’s truly unfortunate that people want to take advantage of such a celebratory and unifying moment.
As soon as the event was announced, we made the proactive decision not to publish it on our website to eliminate the possibility of the tickets being resold. This measure reflects our commitment to the respect and dignity of such memorial events.
We would like to express our deep condolences and thoughts of solidarity with the family and loved ones of Karl Tremblay during this difficult time.”
Ask the public
Marie-Annick Lépine quickly denounced the resale of tickets on her Facebook page and urged the public not to buy them. She took the opportunity to announce that the ceremony would be broadcast on social networks.
“Out of respect for Karl, I don’t want anyone to buy the tickets that are currently selling for $500.”
Tickets were found in particular on the StubHub website. The tickets quickly disappeared. Tickets for the ceremony were not available as of Friday morning.
The StubHub site had not responded to our interview request at the time of writing.
Internet users also tried to sell tickets via social networks.
On Friday morning, new offers appeared, this time priced at $100 per ticket. In the comments, several netizens called it a scam.
