National Cheeseburger Day is Monday and honors the hamburger with a melty slice of cheese. Several metro Detroit locations and national chains are celebrating with deals and discounts, from freebies to buy-one-get-one to cheeseburgers for a penny. There are restrictions and requirements for the offers, such as: E.g. ordering via apps. The discounts and offers are usually only available on Mondays.

Applebee’s
If you dine in or order through Applebee’s mobile app, a cheeseburger and fries costs $8.99. According to the website, a classic cheeseburger typically costs $11.99.

Mini-B’s burgers at Union Joints’ Clarkston burger joint (Clarkston Union, Vinsetta Garage, Honcho and others) are $1 Saturday through Monday. There is a limit of five mini burgers per customer. BurgerFi
When you purchase a BurgerFi Freestyle drink, you can add a burger or cheeseburger for $3. BurgerFi’s cheeseburger consists of two patties, two slices of American cheese, lettuce, tomatoes and fi sauce. The only BurgerFi location in Michigan is in Northville at 18801 Traditions Drive.

Burger King
The nationwide chain is offering a week’s worth of deals starting Monday. Most offers require a purchase price of $1. Royal Perks rewards program members get free cheeseburgers with every purchase of $1 or more. A different offer will be offered every day from Monday until September 24th. If you spend $1 on Tuesday you will receive a free Whopper Jr. On Wednesday, Whoppers are $3. Thursday is BOGO at all Whoppers. Free onion rings with any $1 purchase Friday. On September 23rd there is a family meal package for $22. On the final offer day, September 24th, Royal Perks members will receive double Crowns points.

The McDonald’s Double Cheeseburger is 50 cents at participating locations nationwide when you order through the McDonald’s app. This year, McDonald’s has made some changes to its burger lineup, including softer and freshly toasted buns and the addition of more special sauce to the Big Mac.
