National title chances for Elite Eight teams

The only No. 1 seed left in the NCAA men’s tournament is the favorite to win the national championship.

The Kansas Jayhawks hit +275 at BetMGM to win the national title after beating Providence 66-61 on Friday night at Sweet 16. Elite eight on Sunday. The Hurricanes took out Iowa State on Friday night to prevent a Big 12 game.

The Cougars became the favorite on Thursday night after beating Arizona in the Sweet 16. Houston is still the No. 2 favorite with +350 despite entering the tournament as the No. 5 seed. Houston defended fiercely in this tournament and in Saturday will face Villanova in the elite eight.

Houston is the favorite against the Wildcats with 2.5 points. Cougars get 55% of the stakes and 62% of the money while the underwriter is a popular game. Nearly two-thirds of bets and two-thirds of handles are below 127.5. Total opened at 128.5. Villanova is at +600 to win the national title.

Duke is the third favorite to win the national championship with a +400 rating. The Blue Devils will play Arkansas in the Elite Eight on Saturday and are 3.5 points favorites over the Sharp Backs. Duke also gets the support of the public: 61% of bets and 68% of bets on the Blue Devils must be covered.

Arkansas has +1000 to win the NCAA Tournament and has the sixth best chance of winning the tournament. North Carolina also leads the Razorbacks by +600 after beating UCLA on Friday night. The number 8 Tar Heels will take on tournament favorite St. Peter’s in the elite eight on Sunday. The St. Peters have +4,000 to win the tournament as they became the first No. 15 seed to advance to the fourth round of the tournament with a win over Purdue on Friday.
