NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg reportedly urged NATO members to stock up on arms to supply Ukraine as attacks from Russia continue.
Portal reported that just days after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy asked for weapons and defense systems to withstand a Russian invasion, the NATO chief called on allies to stock up.

“I urge allies to do more,” Stoltenberg said. “It is in all of our security interests to ensure that Ukraine prevails [Russian President Vladimir] Putin doesn’t win.”

He also urged Western allies to procure Ukrainian ammunition and spare parts for the systems already in place.

President Biden also announced that the US would spend an additional $2 billion in military aid, including the Patriot Air Defense System, which can defend against ballistic, aircraft and cruise missiles.
Stoltenberg told the DPA during the interview that the fastest route to peace in Ukraine is military support, Portal reported.

“We know that most wars end at the negotiating table – probably this war too – but we know that what Ukraine can achieve in these negotiations depends inextricably on the military situation,” he said.
