Indiana Pacers trade #7 pick in 2023 NBA draft

The Indiana Pacers picked Bilal Coulibaly, a teammate of France No. 1 pick Victor Wembanyama, for 7th overall. However, according to multiple reports, they traded Coulibaly’s rights to the Washington Wizards for the No. 8 and up.

The Pacers land at Jarace Walker, who just wrapped his first season in Houston. The Pacers will also reportedly receive two second-round picks in 2028, one directly from the Wizards and another Washington received in a recent trade with the Phoenix Suns.

The 6-8 walker averaged 11.2 points, 6.8 rebounds, 1.0 steals and 1.3 blocked shots in a season with the Cougars. He was the American Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year and was selected for the second team in all conferences.
