NBA: Nikola Jokic made peace with Suns owner

Nikola Jokic and Phoenix Suns owner Mat Ishbia put aside their differences earlier in the week on Tuesday.

Tempers ran high on Sunday when the businessman refused to hand the Serb a ball after the item went wide. There was a slight obstacle, and Ishbia tumbled exaggeratedly into her chair.

Jokic, who scored 53 points that night, was not suspended by the NBA for his gesture but was fined $25,000. The MVP for the 2021 and 2022 seasons didn’t blame the owner too much as he made a little joke about him on Tuesday night.

During the warm-up before Game 5, the Denver Nuggets star player purposely passed the ball to Ishbia, who laughed and took it. The two men hugged and Jokic walked away smiling.
