The Milwaukee Bucks begin their official title defense Sunday in Game 1 against the Chicago Bulls in the opening round of the NBA playoffs. Giannis Antetokounmpo and the Bucks have dominated the Bulls in recent years, going 16-1 in their last 17 meetings, including 4-0 this season. Chicago, making the playoffs for the first time since 2017, wants to change that trend. After falling double digits in the first quarter, the Bulls recovered well to close out the half and cut the deficit to single digits at the break.
Closing out the action on Day 2 will be the top seeded Phoenix Suns, who host the No. 8 New Orleans Pelicans. Previously, the Miami Heat made it easy for the Atlanta Hawks, 115-91, to take a 1-0 lead. Also, the Celtics defeated the Nets thanks to Jayson Tatum’s incredible summer beat layup.
