It appears Jordan Poole has taken the high road following his altercation in training with Draymond Green last week.
In Wednesday’s NBA Today, NBA reporter Marc Spears clarified what Poole and the rest of his teammates thought about Draymond Green after the altercation.
“Poole and Draymond spoke to the team a few days ago and Poole did not see the need for Draymond to be suspended,” Spears said.
Spears added that Warriors players “didn’t feel comfortable” handing their teammate a suspension, and thus the coaching staff was given the responsibility of making the decision on whether or not Green should be suspended.
“And given what Poole and the teammates thought, ownership and the front office are deciding that Green will not be suspended, that there will be an undisclosed fine,” Spears continued. “But while Green has not been suspended, he has been off the team for over a week now.
“In a way, maybe you could even consider that a suspension from being away.”
Despite not being suspended, the 32-year-old has been away from the team to address things he “needs to fix”.
Additionally, Spears praised Pooles’ professionalism, stating that the guard was “concerned” about moving forward with his veteran teammate. Also, Poole and Green will work together to pursue the ultimate goal, though they may not have the best of relationships.
“They’re definitely going to try to win another championship professionally,” Spears added.
Spears concluded by stating that Green was in good shape, both physically and mentally.

Though a dark cloud hung over the Warriors immediately after Green’s shot, it seems clearer skies are on the horizon for Golden State as Green “works” to regain the team’s confidence.
Warriors fans are hoping that the aforementioned confrontation is just a stumbling block on the road to another championship.
