Poeltle made the first try but missed the second before Spurs forward Keldon Johnson scored the eventual game-winner.
Dubs fans on Twitter were unhappy with the refereeing, especially Looney’s foul that landed Poeltle on the line.
In the NBA’s latest two-minute report released Monday morning, the league said all calls were made correctly.
NBA Comment: “Looney (GSW) is holding Poeltle’s (SAS) left shoulder during the rebound and the contact is affecting his FOM.”
During Johnson’s game-winning shot, Klay Thompson was frustrated by the officiating because it appeared that Spurs defenseman Dejonte Murray had made contact with him on the rebound.
NBA Comment: “Murray (SAS) extends his hand in an attempt to bounce and there is accidental hand contact with Thompson (GSW) and Wiggins (GSW) as the ball ricochets.”
