Neighbors arrest thief hiding under a bed in Holguín

A group of neighbors arrested a thief hiding under a bed in a house in Holguín province amid an increase in robberies in that location.

Looking for backup, the man ran to a nearby house. He arrived with several of his neighbors and when he looked under the bed, he saw a person hiding there.

Neighbors immediately called police and arrested the suspected thief, who was pretending to be sleeping, the information said.

Although these Minint reports attempt to praise the work of the Cuban police in the face of growing popular criticism, they show an exponential increase in violence on the island.

Dozens of people became victims of robberies and even killed by thieves.

The regime refuses to acknowledge the fact and accuses the emigrants of spreading an exaggerated image of the violence in Cuba.
