Neighbors star Guy Pearce said returning to Ramsay Street as fan favorite Mike Young for the final episode was “weird”.

He said he understands the anxiety the cast must be feeling as they face the end of their time on the long-running show.

“I haven’t been here like other cast members in the past few years, so I’m really aware of what it’s like for them to suddenly be done,” he said in an interview with The Herald-Sun on Wednesday.

“I understand how that must feel. It’s weird, but coming back myself is kinda weird.’

Guy admitted that stepping into his role as Mike Young wasn’t easy after he first appeared as a character in 1986.

“Who is Mike now, how do I play this guy? I had to sift through my memories to understand how I could actually play him,” said the handsome fan favorite.

18-year-old Henrietta, who joins the cast in May guest-starring as Sam, plays the assistant to Chloe (April Rose Pengilly), manager of the Lassiter Hotel in Erinborough.
