NeNe Leakes shared a happy update on the health of her son, Brentt Leakes, just in time for the holidays.
The former Real Housewives of Atlanta star, 54, shared on her Instagram Stories on Wednesday that the 23-year-old club owner is learning to walk again after suffering a stroke on Sept. 26.
In one of the clips, Brentt appears in a pink tracksuit while taking a few steps down a hospital corridor.
Nurses and NeNe can hear him cheering as he walks around.
“I’m so happy for you,” adds the proud mom. “That is fine.”
She then remarked in a text post, “God be the glory.”

It appears that Brentt had just been released from the hospital when NeNe pointed out that he was “walking out” after being admitted just two months ago.
“Home in time for the holidays,” the reality star also wrote, before adding, “Nurses are the best.”
NeNe also gave a glimpse of what Brentt’s recovery actually looked like by sharing a video of him “learning to walk again” on a treadmill with a device that helped him stay awake.
In a separate video, he was seen taking steps backwards while reconnected to a device that helped him walk while he threw a basketball and worked on his hand-eye coordination.
In early October, NeNe confirmed the news that her son had been hospitalized after suffering “heart failure and a stroke.”
At the time, she said, doctors were still working to find answers as to why Brentt had such health problems at such a young age.
However, the former Bravolebrity said experts had ruled out concerns about his weight.

“They thought maybe he had contracted COVID and maybe he didn’t know he had COVID,” NeNe said at the time, noting that doctors reportedly informed her that people who had the delta variant of the infection had similar problems had .
The “shocked” reality star added at the time, “We’re still trying to figure it out because if we knew the cause, obviously they could treat the cause.”
It’s unclear if NeNe finally learned what led to Brentt’s condition.
