Among other things, the investigative team revealed that the man posing as Neptune’s CEO, Robert Butler, uses a second identity when, among other things, he runs a real estate agency in Ontario. He presents himself under the name Badreddine Ahmadoun, Enquête found during an interview with the person.
Additionally, the agency’s headquarters in Mississauga, Ontario is actually a UPS post office, which is illegal under the Canada Business Corporations Act.
Public orders and problems
Neptune Security Services Inc. provides private security services and employs thousands of agents.
In 10 years, the agency has received hundreds of government contracts across the country, most notably with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and the Sûreté du Québec. In Quebec alone, the value of the contracts awarded exceeds US$ 200 million.
Neptune is responsible for the security of many courthouses in Quebec. In order to offer its services in the province, Neptune had to obtain permission from the BSP.
For this reason, the Minister of Public Security requests checks from the BSP. In addition, the Autorité des marchés publics is already conducting investigations into the Neptun company.
