“We can’t negotiate now,” Netanyahu reportedly told Biden when asked about the hostages.
The American president would not have tried to persuade him not to continue and would have asked him about the possible second front on the border between Israel and Lebanon. Netanyahu responded that the Lebanese front was a concern and Israel was preparing for it, but there was no choice but to respond forcefully in Gaza.
