It’s time to sum up all the new releases that have hit Netflix in the US so far in July 2023, where we’ve seen 53 new movies and 17 new series added to the service. We’ll also see what’s been trending on the Netflix charts in the US over the past seven days.
Of course, there’s still a lot to look forward to for the rest of the month. Big films like Bird Box Barcelona and The Cloned Tyrone are yet to be released, and TV favorites like The Dragon Prince and Sweet Magnolias are returning with new seasons.

The best new movies and series added this weekend
65 (2023)

Genre: science fiction
Via the fruitful Sony deal, new sci-fi thriller Adam Driver is coming to Netflix, in which his character crashes on a dinosaur-infested planet.
If you’re planning on hiring Netflix specifically to watch ’65’, please note that the film is only available on Netflix’s premium tiers (ad-free) as Sony still hasn’t reached an agreement to release its titles at the promotional tier to show from Netflix.
The Tutor (2023)
Director: Jordan Ross
Pour: Garrett Hedlund, Noah Schnapp, Victoria Justice, Jonny Weston, Ekaterina Baker
Genre: thriller
As we patiently await Stranger Things Season 5 (which by all reports is going to be a hell of a long time), a few things are emerging that will help us get through. One of those things is The Tutor, a brand new movie making its SVOD debut on Netflix. The main actor is Noah Schnapp, best known for his role as Will.
Here’s what you can expect from the new thriller:
“A dream job tutoring a billionaire’s son turns into a terrifying nightmare for Ethan when his obsessed student stalks him and his girlfriend.”
Zom 100: Bucket List of the Dead
Pour: Shuichiro Umeda, Tomori Kusunoki, Makoto Furukawa, and Minami Takahashi
Genre: anime
Ahead of the live-action adaptation’s exclusive Netflix release, some regions of the streaming service will also receive weekly episodes of the anime adaptation every Sunday in addition to Crunchyroll.
The series is about a 24-year-old who finally decides to live a little and make a wish list when a zombie outbreak sweeps the country.
