Netflix is canceling a huge animated horror series just before its start – leaving the series’ director furious

Netflix has pulled the plug on a massive animated horror series — and the show’s creator isn’t happy.

The streaming platform canceled its upcoming series Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas just as the show was nearing completion.

The animated series was intended to be the latest addition to the Army of the Dead series.

The original 2021 film is set in Las Vegas, Nevada and follows a group of mercenaries as they roll dice and attempt to pull off an epic heist in a zombie-filled quarantine zone.

Zack Snyder, the film’s creator, criticized Netflix bosses for canceling the apocalyptic series despite already greenlighting a third installment.

The director raged: “The script is ready.” “The animation is almost finished and all the voices for the series have already been recorded.”

Snyder also revealed that the film is nearing completion and joked that viewers can “watch it now.”

The abridged Netflix series was intended to highlight the roots of a key cast member from the first film.

Viewers are aware that the tough character has an estranged relationship with his daughter following the death of his wife.

The former taco truck owner began using his zombie hunter skills to save civilians in the dying city.

But now fans will always wonder what could have been, because what really happened to the character during the first zombie outbreak must remain a mystery.

The discouraging announcement follows numerous release date postponements due to delays.

It has yet to be confirmed why Army of the Dead: Lost Vegas was canceled by Netflix.

Another chimed in: “Army of the Dead, which had 75 million views in its first four weeks.”

“Army of the Dead became the 10th most watched movie on Netflix with 72 million streams,” wrote a third.

“I’m not a fan of excuses.” Netflix has the most money and that’s their biggest investment. “You can and should put it into action,” another added.

Others called Netflix a “cancel joy” and joked, “They literally canceled Zack’s anime series Army of the Dead.”

This comes after the streaming giant announced it would be axing 56 titles from Netflix as part of a major content overhaul.
