After Tapie, Netflix therefore decides to delve into the life of another media personality whose career remains largely unknown in the eyes of a large part of the public. The series is a true look behind the scenes of the porn industry and also allows us to understand the relationships of Rocco Tano (his real name) with the underworld.
Halfway between biopic and thriller, Supersex – the title of the series – will also deal with the close relationships between Rocco and his mother in a deeply conservative Italy.
Supported by a chic and shocking aesthetic reminiscent of the atmosphere of the novels of Bret Easton Ellis, the series lends the transalpine actor Alessandro Borghi (Suburra) his facial features of the porn superstar.

A pseudonym as a tribute to Alain Delon
For the record: the stage name Rocco Siffredi is a tribute to the career of Alain Delon: the first name Rocco (his birth name) refers to the film Rocco and his brothers, while the last name Siffredi is that of the character played by the French actor in Borsalino.
Note that Rocco Siffredi's career was also marked by appearances in several films of the so-called traditional cinema, such as “Anatomy of Hell” by Catherine Breillat or “Les Kaïra” (in his own role) by Frank Gastambide.
The documentary Rocco, which was released in cinemas in 2016, also looked back on the Italian actor's XXL career.
The super sex series, inspired by the life of Rocco Siffredi, will be available exclusively on Netflix from March 6th.
