Netflix has released the trailer for its upcoming Morgan Freeman-narrated series Life on Our Planet, which brings extinct species to the big screen and explores the lives of Earth’s former inhabitants. The series is scheduled to premiere on October 25th.
The series logline states: “This is the story of life’s epic battle for conquest and survival on planet Earth. There are 20 million species on our planet today, but what we see is just a snapshot – 99% of Earth’s inhabitants are lost in our deep past. The story of what happened to these dynasties – their rise and fall – is truly remarkable.”
The series is executive produced by Steven Spielberg, Alastair Fothergill, Keith Scholey, Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey. Dan Tapster, Keith Scholey and Fothergill serve as series producers.

Hungry? A food truck will hit the streets of Los Angeles to promote the premiere of Amazon Prime Video’s “Gen V,” a spinoff of “The Boys.”
The Vought-A-Burger food truck will be on the USC campus on September 28th and on the UCLA campus on September 29th. Attendees can choose from themed packaging and menu items such as: B. Immerse yourself in the world of “The Boys” Liquid Death (sold as “Turbo Rush Energy Drink”). The event will also feature giveaways including SheerGear handbags, custom t-shirts and Astroglide products. Prime Video will also partner with iHeart Radio to spread the news to listeners across Los Angeles.
“Gen V” premieres September 29th and follows a series of characters at Godolkin University as they prepare to become the next generation of heroes. The cast includes Jaz Sinclair, Chance Perdomo, Lizze Broadway, Shelley Conn, Maddie Phillips, London Thor, Derek Luh, Asa Germann, Patrick Schwarzenegger, Sean Patrick Thomas and Marco Pigossi. Guest stars include Clancy Brown and Jason Ritter, as well as appearances from Jessie T. Usher, Colby Minifie, Claudia Doumit and PJ Byrne, reprising their roles from “The Boys.”
Michele Fazekas and Tara Butters serve as showrunners of the series. Additionally, Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Ori Marmur, Pavun Shetty, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Craig Rosenberg, Nelson Cragg, Zak Schwartz, Erica Rosbe and Michaela Starr is also an executive producer of the show.
To celebrate the ABC premiere of “The Golden Bachelor” on September 28, several companies are awarding gold and offering special promotions.
Participating locations include Randy’s Donuts and Pink’s Hot Dogs in Los Angeles, offering specials and treats during the last week of September. Additionally, Best Friends Animal Society, Popcornopolis and Pinot’s Palette will host promotions at their various locations in honor of the premiere.
Senior communities across the country will also receive party kits with gold watches in preparation for the premiere. Starting September 28, several brands are offering golden discounts, including Alfred, Joann’s, Uber Eats and Fandango.
Some have already experienced the fun with the activities that took place last week. Food trucks popped up all over Los Angeles and New York City, offering a variety of golden treats, such as golden turmeric lattes, gold-dusted macarons, and gold lemonade popsicles. At John Legend’s Sept. 23 concert at the Hollywood Bowl, the seats were adorned with gold cushions and the 28 screens featured Gerry Turner, the leading man of “The Golden Bachelor.” Players and fans attending the USA Pickleball’s National Indoor Championship in Atlantic City, New Jersey were able to experience gold integrations, honoring Turner’s favorite pastime.
