Netflix, a TikToker, shares that the platform has three must-have series that, although little known, will suit all tastes: what are their names and what are they talking about?
Netflix is a popular online streaming platform that offers a huge selection of movies, TV series, documentaries and more. Access is via internet-connected devices such as computers, smartphones, tablets, smart TVs and game consoles. On the giant, you can find products of different genres and variables, depending on the country, as the platform continues to regularly add new content and instead removes others. So let’s take a look at which three audiovisual works you should not miss, even if they are little known.
TikToker Serena Marletta, known as @renaletta_ on the Chinese social network, has decided to publish a video in which she talks about three Netflix series that you can watch all at once. The first is Re:Mind, a thriller with few but compelling episodes. In the center are eleven schoolgirls who, after waking up in an old Victorian bedroom, are seated at a long dining table but cannot get up because their feet are chained to the floor and they are hooded. They understand that the dire circumstances they find themselves in could be related to the previous disappearance of their friend Miho. They try to figure out how to escape but disappear one by one every time the lights go out. Therefore, the suspicion grows that among them might be the architect of this deadly trap. This series is in Japanese with English subtitles.
Netflix, the other two series after Re:Mind, proposed by TikToker’s Serena Marletta
Serena Marletta continues in her video by introducing two other series alongside the already mentioned Re:Mind. The second is defined as a comedy that “saves her several sessions with a psychologist”: Crazy Ex-Girlfriend. The story follows Rebecca, a successful lawyer in New York who decides to move to a much smaller and almost unknown town only to “stalk” an old flame of hers, Josh. Back at a tiny local law firm, the professional must adjust to a big change, but she’s doing so with a feminine gaze Serena Marletta says doesn’t exist on any other series this well developed. So what makes this product a plus for the TikToker is the pieces of music that accompany some of the scenes of the protagonist.
Finally, the last series mentioned by the influencer and available to watch on Netflix, Love, Deaths and Robots is the series for those who love Black Mirror. It is an anthological product composed of episodes from 3 to 12 minutes. The techniques used differ from episode to episode, displaying the characteristics of a thriller series that mixes robotics and philosophy with a “futuristic look”.
