Translated, the tweet says: “Everything went very well in the first episode of #Bodies.” The miniseries has all the ingredients to become an instant classic. Just follow the path you took in this introduction.

“Bodies” takes place between 1890 and 2053. The crime thriller shows how the same murder occurs several times over a period of 150 years.

Created by Paul Tomalin, the show is a police procedural with a twist.

When a body – the same body – is found on Longharvest Lane in London’s East End in the years 1890, 1941, 2023 and 2053, a detective from each time period must investigate.

As connections are made over the decades, the investigators soon discover that their investigations are linked, and an enigmatic political leader, Elias Mannix (Stephen), becomes increasingly central to the investigation.

Questions arise: viewers asked whether he played a role in the murder? Or is something far more sinister at play?

To solve the mystery, the four detectives must somehow work together and uncover a conspiracy that has spanned 150 years.

Stephen’s big break came in 2000 when he played the role of Tommy in Snatch, before securing his breakthrough role as Andrew “Combo” Gascoigne in the 2006 film This Is England.

Since then, the OBE has achieved incredible success in ITV drama Little Boy Blue, BBC drama Line Of Duty and as Andy Jones in the 2021 film Boiling Point.

Stephen is joined by a stellar cast, including Netflix’s “Unorthodox” star Shira Haas, who plays future detective Iris Maplewood.

Mysterious: Little is known about Stephen's character, however, as tension mounts in the dramatic trailer, which he reveals:
