Nevada: Teacher forces two students to kiss in class

A 29-year-old substitute teacher from North Las Vegas, Nevada, who allegedly forced two students to kiss each other has been relieved of her duties and arrested by police.

Rasheda Rose was arrested Wednesday and charged with two counts of child abuse after she allegedly forced 6th grade students to kiss in front of other students.

The North Las Vegas Police Department had been investigating allegations since Oct. 12 that a substitute teacher used “inappropriate language” in class.

According to a report in the New York Post on Thursday, parents of students were alerted via email that Ms. Rose was encouraging their students to kiss.

A parent told local media that students are at school to learn and educate themselves and that they should not hug each other in class, which could make them feel uncomfortable.

Other parents criticized the management of Legacy Traditional Schools for not warning them on the day of the incident so that they could discuss the incident with their children.
