Neve was later spotted having lunch with her daughter in Toorak, just hours after arriving in Melbourne.

It’s unclear why she’s in Australia, but she told passengers she’ll be here on a “working holiday” for three months.

The sighting comes after Neve announced in June that she was leaving the Scream film franchise after 26 years, and hinted that the salary she was being offered for a sixth film was not what she was “worth” in terms of being in brought in the hit horror series.

“Unfortunately, I won’t be doing the next Scream movie,” she said in a released statement, effectively saying goodbye to the sixth installment.

“As a woman, I’ve had to work extremely hard in my career to establish my worth, especially when it comes to scream,” she explained.

Campbell hinted at issues surrounding her salary, adding, “I felt that the offer that was presented to me did not match the value I brought to the franchise.”

“It was a very difficult decision to continue. To all my Scream fans, I love you. You have always been so incredibly supportive of me. I am forever grateful to you and for what this franchise has given me over the past 25 years,” she concluded.

Campbell has played the protagonist Sidney Prescott in all five Scream films since 1996, most recently landing the role in the reboot released earlier this year.

The film’s recent revival brought back original stars Campbell, Courteney Cox and David Arquette – and made $140 million at the box office on a budget of $24 million.

Meanwhile, the trailer for Scream VI – the first film in the franchise without its longtime star Campbell – has been released.

The action has shifted from the fictional California town of Woodsboro to New York City, opening the survivors up to new forms of terror.

Mindy (Jasmin Savoy Brown), Sam (Melissa Barrera), Tara (Jenna Ortega) and Chad (Mason Gooding), all survivors from the previous Scream film, are being pursued around the subway by the horrific serial killer Ghostface.
