After London police, it is Thames Valley Police, which covers an area west of the British capital and is investigating the actions of Russell Brand, a provocative 48-year-old comedian who has become an anti-establishment social media influencer Networks where millions of subscribers follow him.
In mid-September, the Sunday Times and Channel 4 revealed four women’s allegations against him, one of rape and the others of sexual assault and psychological abuse.
The comedian denied the allegations and said his relationships have always been “consensual.” The crimes allegedly occurred between 2006 and 2013.
London police then said they had received “a number of allegations” of sexual assault that related to “uncurrent” facts.
On Monday, following reports published by the BBC, a spokesman for Thames Valley Police confirmed that it had received “new information regarding harassment allegations made in 2018”.
The police spokesman, who said the reports were being investigated, did not confirm that it was Russell Brand.
According to the BBC, this woman had already contacted the police to complain several times between 2018 and 2022, but no action was taken.
Russell Brand is also said to have accused the woman of harassment against him in 2017.
