According to the IDF, Israeli airstrikes hit 200 targets in the Gaza Strip
According to CNN’s Amir Tal, Israeli airstrikes have hit about 200 Hamas targets in Gaza, the Israel Defense Forces said in an update on Monday, a day after the IDF announced it would expand its ground operations across the enclave.
The targets included a school in the northeastern city of Beit Hanoun that the IDF said contained “terrorist infrastructure,” including tunnel shafts full of weapons and explosives.
Additional airstrikes hit a vehicle carrying weapons and a weapons depot, the IDF said.
The Israeli navy also attacked a number of targets overnight and “supported the reinforcement of ground forces,” the IDF said.
Advanced operation: Israeli forces said on Sunday they would expand ground operations across the Gaza Strip after a ceasefire with Hamas collapsed on Friday.
“The IDF is resuming and expanding ground operations against Hamas strongholds across the Gaza Strip,” IDF spokesman Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari said at a news conference.
Israeli attacks in Gaza have resulted in the deaths of about 15,200 Palestinians since October 7, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Ramallah, which draws its figures from the Hamas-controlled Ministry of Health in Gaza.
