(CNN) — It’s been a week since British King Charles III. was crowned, but the palace continues to release anecdotes from the big day, this time in the form of two newly released photos taken after the coronation.
In one picture, Charles is pictured in the Throne Room at Buckingham Palace with his elder son William, the Prince of Wales and grandson Prince George.
The king wears full regalia, robes and the imperial state crown while holding the ruler’s orb and ruler’s scepter with cross. He is seated in one of two thrones made for the future King George V and future Queen Mary for the coronation of King Edward VII in 1902.
The second picture shows Charles and his wife, Queen Camilla, with the eight page honours, and the ladies present who assisted them at the coronation.

The images were taken by British photographer Hugo Burnand, who has worked with the royal family for more than 20 years.
Charles and Camilla were crowned in a magnificent and deeply religious ceremony at Westminster Abbey on May 6th.
The coronation – a symbolic coming together of monarchy, church and state – was attended by dignitaries from around the world and thousands of people gathered on the streets of London to witness the processions to and from the Abbey. It was Britain’s first coronation in 70 years.
Charles became instant king in September when his mother, Queen Elizabeth II, died at the age of 96. She was the longest reigning monarch in British history.
