The new investment of an undetermined amount will be used for the “development of the next phases of”. [l’]Q01 flagship facility and will fund future campus development,” said QScale.

“The investment will enable QScale and Aligned to accelerate their growth through a robust supply chain and expanded hosting capabilities across America, all supported by long-term capital investments,” the company added in a press release.

In 2021, QScale had announced plans to build an $867 million data center, thanks in particular to $90 million in support from Investissement Québec and $60 million in support from Desjardins Capital.

The center aims to recover thermal energy generated by computer equipment to power a complex of agricultural greenhouses.
