I WANT TO BE TRIGGERED 2

Photo provided by Priscillia Piccoli

Season 1 of this touching, ultra-realistic series was inspired by Anaïs Barbeau-Lavalette’s book of the same name. We accompanied disadvantaged young people from the Saint-Michel neighborhood whose families were at risk of eviction. Director and co-writer Eric Piccoli continued the story by reuniting with Eddy, Mélissa and Karine two years later. Her problems as a teenager are different, her situation always precarious. You lose your footing. A neighborhood shootout erupts, unsettling Eddy’s mother and Karine’s father as they try to reconcile their lives. Mélissa’s mother has health problems while the DPJ has placed her children. Still so authentic.

This Manitoba webseries mirroring the news is a tale of siblings, despite the differences. Jonathan is a comedian, but his homophobic jokes have crossed the line. It’s “cancelled”. His mother’s death forces him to reconnect with his brother Thomas, who is homosexual and whom he has always considered the favorite. His mother insisted that after his departure they take all the steps together, which will force them to get to know each other better and realize that everyone was important to her.

ON THE PATH

A wacky web series in which Ariel Charest, actress and humorist known on the web for her insane dubbing, parodies the codes of real crime series. As she says, a good investigative reporter has to be willing to get his hands dirty. She lends her face to her alter ego Hariel Cherast, who has to solve important facts of popular culture with his henchmen Siméon and Pascaline. So it’s the intrusion of the wild turkey into a lady’s living room like the guard movement at the National Assembly, or even a memorable appearance at the Canadian Night, Carl Carmoni’s famous Birdy in describing the games of miniputt, or the frog found in paprika so mysterious like caramel in caramilk.
