New Report on Jonathan Majors Claims Nearly a Decade of Abuse

Jonathan Majors has come under criticism in a new report in which he claims there has been a decade of abuse and toxicity.

Rolling Stone spoke to two dozen sources about the recent domestic violence charges against the actor. They allege the actor has a history of abusive behavior in previous relationships as well as during his time at Yale.

“No one is surprised this is coming out,” a source claimed. “It always felt like it was a matter of time because his demeanor never changed. He’s kind of a bad guy and now it’s just catching up to him.”

However, Majors has denied these claims.

“Jonathan Majors vehemently denies Rolling Stone’s false allegations that he physically, verbally or emotionally abused anyone, let alone his former romantic partners,” said his attorney Dustin A. Pusch. “These allegations are based solely on hearsay, as none of the named romantic partners were willing to commit to the Rolling Stone article – proving their complete inaccuracy.”

Majors “also denies any allegations of abuse, violence or intimidation while at Yale.”

Over a dozen sources collectively claim Majors abused two of his former romantic partners.

“It was common knowledge that he was [a good actor] and that he would also terrorize the people he dated,” a source said. According to nine separate sources, Majors strangled one of these women and abused her both mentally and emotionally.

His behavior on the set was also repeatedly questioned. It is alleged that Majors was aggressive at work. Two members of his recent production, Magazine Dreams, claimed the actor pushed one person on set and physically intimidated another while yelling at them, prompting a complaint with the film’s producers.

His attorney insists it all stems from Majors’ modus operandi:

“The allegations that Mr. Majors assaulted or physically intimidated anyone on any film set are completely false,” Pusch added. “Anyone who has worked with Mr. Majors knows he employs an immersive method acting style, and while this can sometimes be misconstrued as rudeness, those who know Mr. Majors and work in the industry have his devotion confirmed to his craft.” as well as his friendliness.”

Majors previously spoke to Men’s Health about his acting technique, claiming it takes an immersive approach rather than traditional method acting.

“I’m not going to be an acting snob here,” he said. “But I have to say, when people talk about the method, they mean Strasberg specifically.” He added that he was willing to “do whatever it takes for me, whatever it takes.”

Majors was arrested on March 25 for strangulation, assault and molestation following a domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman. The NYPD told IGN the victim suffered minor head and neck injuries and was hospitalized in stable condition. Majors has consistently denied these allegations.

“Jonathan Majors is completely innocent and has been shown to have been the victim of an altercation with a woman he knows,” said defense attorney Priya Chaudhry. “We are rapidly gathering evidence and presenting it to the district attorney with the expectation that all charges will be dropped soon.”

Since then, other alleged abuse victims have come forward.
