New security options for Google Chrome

New security options for Google Chrome –

Google takes over its password manager and adds several features like a PC fingerprint sensor or a new user interface.

Google announced five new security options for its Chrome search engine on June 8th. Starting with the password manager, authentication by face recognition or fingerprint will be possible on PC or Mac. This feature was previously only available on mobile devices. However, you need a computer with a fingerprint sensor or a computer that supports face recognition.

The password manager interface is redesigned to make it easier to access and change passwords. A shortcut is available right on your computer’s desktop. The home page makes it easier to view the passwords used for each account. It is also possible to add notes to your password information, e.g. B. PINs, credentials, tags to help you keep track of multiple accounts, etc.

Google wants to compete with private password managers

A password analysis will be possible, Google will point out weak and reused combinations. Finally, it will be possible to download all the words saved on another manager to move them to Chrome from a CSV file. Chrome’s manager isn’t particularly recommended if you’re looking for a high level of cybersecurity and is regularly targeted by hackers. Password manager is currently available in Chrome settings. The features listed in the article should be available soon.
