Taylor Swift is single in town!
The “Anti-Hero” singer was spotted having dinner in New York City with boyfriend and longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff and his fiancée Margaret Qualley, just days after news of Swift’s split from boyfriend Joe Alwyn.
videos and photos shared on the social media show Swift smiled as she took the couple to dinner at the Via Carota restaurant in downtown Manhattan, just blocks from Cornelia Street, which is the inspiration for one of Swift’s songs on Her Lover album was – aptly named after the street she once had a home on – and believed to have been inspired by Alwyn.
“And I hope I never lose you, hope it never ends / I would never walk down Cornelia Street again / This is the kind of heartbreak that time could never heal / I would never walk down Cornelia Street again” , Swift sings on the 2019 track.
The 33-year-old singer, who is currently on her The Eras tour, wore a black off-the-shoulder top with a pair of embroidered high-waist jeans and black heels for the occasion. She complemented the look with a glittery handbag and her signature red lipstick.
While Swift kept her jewelry to a minimum Monday night, eagle-eyed fans are speculating that the necklace she is wearing in the shots is the same “J” necklace that Alwyn gave her.
The sighting marks the first time Swift has been seen in public since ET exclusively learned on Saturday that she and Alwyn broke up a few weeks ago after six years of dating.
ET also learned that the split was amicable and “not dramatic.” ET said: “The relationship had just taken its course. That is the reason [Alwyn] was not seen at any shows.” The next stop on Swift’s tour is Tampa, Fla., with the first of three dates in Tampa beginning Thursday.
It wasn’t long ago that Swift and Alwyn are said to have been in a great place in their relationship. They started dating in late 2016, and a source told ET back in October that they were “doing great” and that their “relationship is super strong.”
This update came just hours after Swift released her much-anticipated tenth studio album, Midnights, which was followed by seven more songs released on her surprise 3am release of the album, which Swift confirmed were written by her and Alwyn’s romance and the lengths they go were inspired to muffle the outside noise.
For his part, Alwyn, 32, told British Vogue in September 2018 that he’s very aware that fans want to be kept up to date when it comes to his and Swift’s relationship.
“I’m aware that people want to know about that side of things,” he told the magazine in reference to Swift. “I think we were very successful privately, and that has now reached the people.”
