Newly released police footage shows freelance NFL agent Odell Beckham Jr. verbally abusive at passengers aboard a taxiing American Airlines flight at Miami International Airport and refusing to exit the plane after allegedly telling flight crew that he was… recovering from a night at the club.
The plane’s crew also told officials that the 30-year-old wide receiver removed his pants in his seat before taking off for the flight on Nov. 27.
“They said he took off his pants,” an officer is heard saying over police bodycam. “He was in his underwear. He told that [flight attendant] that he went to clubs all night. He’s either drunk or both: pills and drunk.’
As previously reported in November, Beckham was removed from the flight after allegedly refusing to put on his seat belt as the plane was scheduled to depart, according to Miami police. However, Beckham’s attorney Daniel Davilier released a statement at the time denying police claims that his client was to blame for the hour and a half delay that resulted in the entire plane being forced to disembark.

Newly released police footage from onboard the plane shows a sleepy Beckham arguing with fellow passengers who were upset when he refused to return to the terminal. A passenger became the focus of Beckham’s anger. “You can look at me as long as you like,” Beckham said to a man in a red shirt. “This shit don’t bother me”
Newly released police footage from onboard the plane shows a sleepy Beckham arguing with fellow passengers who were upset when he refused to return to the terminal.
“Shut up,” Beckham yelled at a man seated behind him after being told to “just get off the plane.”
Another passenger soon became the focus of Beckham’s ire.
“You can look at me as long as you like,” Beckham said to the passenger. “This shit doesn’t bother me.
“I would never in my life get off the plane for you — especially for you,” Beckham continued. “Maybe I’d get off the plane for everyone else.
“You wait 40 minutes and I’ll be on a private plane home with your fat ass. Get your ass off the plane.
‘Enjoy the cheeseboard on the way home with your ugly ass.’
Beckham faced no consequences for the incident, which occurred while he was scheduled to do a three-city free agency tour while continuing to recover from off-season knee surgery. The former LSU star has been out of action since tearing the ACL in his left knee for the Los Angeles Rams in last February’s Super Bowl win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Police were called by concerned flight attendants on Sunday after Beckham, 30, was reportedly “passing in and out of consciousness.”
The footage begins with the police, fire department and flight crew checking in on Beckham, who appears dazed and annoyed.
“Do you know where you are, sir?” you hear a questioning voice.
“You didn’t respond,” Beckham is later told.
A discussion ensues between the flight crew and fire personnel, with the fire officer telling the attendants that the decision to remove Beckham from the plane is theirs.
“He told her he just got out of a club,” said a male flight attendant, referring to Beckham and a colleague. ‘And he took something.’
A flight attendant shared her concerns about traveling with Beckham.
“He’s mad at us for calling you,” she said. ‘We said we were worried about you.’ I don’t know if it’ll get worse once we’re airborne.’
An officer then explained the protocol for dealing with a passenger who refused to disembark the plane.
“We have a procedure to follow,” the officer said. “If he refuses to get out, we’ll all have to get out.”
He was filmed being escorted off the plane by passengers – many were upset at Beckham for his behavior, which delayed the flight on the busiest weekend of the year
Aside from his exchanges with fellow passengers, Beckham was respectful of the officers, shaking their hands and expressing his frustration in a low, raspy tone.
Both police and emergency services were deferential to Beckham when trying to determine if he had any health issues.
“What we’re going to do is just check your blood pressure … and your blood sugar,” a paramedic said. ‘Sorry you had a bad day.’
An officer once checked his colleague to see if his body camera was working: “Is your camera on? Because this is going to be a media circus. They’re all going to want to know what really happened.”
Beckham’s identity as an NFL star emerges throughout the footage.
“He’s Odell Beckham,” said one officer.
‘Oh dear God!’ exclaimed a member of the fire crew on the jetway. “Can I get his signature?”
Odell Beckham Jr. didn’t deserve to be dropped off on a flight to Los Angeles from Miami on Sunday morning, but was the victim of an “overzealous flight attendant” who wanted to “prove his authority,” according to the NFL free agent’s attorney. Beckham was removed from the flight at Miami Airport after he allegedly refused to put on his seat belt as the plane was about to depart, according to police. However, Beckham’s attorney, Daniel Davilier, has released a statement contradicting police claims that his client was responsible for the hour-and-a-half delay resulting from the confrontation
An officer asked, “But suspended, right?”
His partner then corrected him: “No, he doesn’t play. Nobody picked him up.”
The video ends with officials explaining to Beckham that his checked baggage flew to Los Angeles while he was rebooking his itinerary.
The flight was scheduled to depart Miami on November 27 at 9:30 a.m. but was previously delayed by nearly an hour and 30 minutes. Passengers were forced off the plane after Beckham refused after several requests.
Beckham, meanwhile, tweeted the following Sunday: “I’ve never in my life seen what just happened to me… I’ve seen it all…”
He then tweeted: “Never. In. My. Life” and “I NEVER COULD RECOGNIZE THIS.”
Beckham has not been signed since suffering a knee injury in the Super Bowl win last February
