news commentator gets sick live and leaves the studio

The commentator of the technology channel Globonews, Thássius Veloso, felt sick and had to interrupt his commentary during a live broadcast of the television news of the Meio Dia edition this Sunday (10).

Around 1 p.m., he was commenting on China’s decision to ban officials from owning iPhones to prevent dependence on foreign technology when he had to stop and ask people to leave.

“Leilane, I’m not feeling well here. Can I continue later?” Thássius asked moderator Leilane Neubarth.

“Are you feeling unwell?” she asked.

“Now I’m more or less fine. I’m sorry,” the commentator concluded before leaving the studio.

On social networks, Thássius reassured his followers and said that he had been suffering from a malaise before joining the show.

“I’m doing well. Do you know how you feel butterflies in your stomach when you go on air? I mentioned it to Leilane and she kindly gave me a break. I won’t be on the air again today. But I wanted to tell you that I’m fine and everything is fine. Thank you for your concern,” the journalist said.
