A large system is preparing to touch Quebec, and certain sectors near the American border are at risk of being affected.
Sunday to Monday
Enjoy your weekend, because starting Sunday morning a new system will shut down large parts of the province. This abundance of clouds will bring its share of rain, particularly for areas south of the St. Lawrence River.
However, the areas of Quebec very close to the American border, particularly Estrie and Chaudière-Appalaches, have the greatest misfortune. The latter could receive between 30 and 50 mm.
The worst is avoided
Other parts of Quebec will also feel the effects of this warm front, but to a much lesser extent. There is a risk of between 5 and 10 mm of rain in Montreal, Quebec, Rimouski and Gaspé.
While Quebec narrowly escaped the brunt of this rain system, the situation is much different in certain parts of the United States. 50 mm of rain is expected in some places, particularly in Maine. In addition to Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire and New York will also see a lot of rain.
Overview of the week
This system will set the tone for the coming week. A few hours of sunshine, rain and gray weather are expected for the next few days. The humidity and heat will therefore decrease on Sunday.
