Largely thanks to the brilliance of their quarterback Brock Purdy, the San Francisco 49ers won 24-17 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday at Levi’s Stadium.
Notably, early in the third quarter, Purdy dished out an outstanding 76-yard touchdown pass to teammate Brandon Aiyuk. In addition, the quarter after returning from the locker room was the best for the 49ers (7-3). In addition to Aiyuk, George Kittle also managed to reach the Buccaneers’ end zone (4-6).

Back to Purdy: He was nearly perfect in the air, connecting with his teammates 21 times on 25 attempts (333 yards) and also collecting three touchdown passes. His counterpart Baker Mayfield did what he could, but with no real success. The latter completed 29 of his 45 pass attempts for 246 yards.
Christian McCaffrey was the other author of a touchdown for the San Francisco team.
Mike Evans and Rachaad White responded on the Bucs side. This loss is their fifth in six games and they will look to return to victory next Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts.
The 49ers will face the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday.
