The NFL Network found out on Tuesday. The 25-year-old athlete will become the highest-earning player at his position in 2023 after signing a contract worth a total of $100 million.

The Ravens acquired Smith from the Chicago Bears at the last trade for veteran AJ Klein, as well as 2023 second- and fifth-round picks.

In nine games with the Maryland squad, Smith had 86 tackles, two quarterback sacks and one interception.

The eighth overall pick of the 2018 draft was also invited to the Pro Bowl game for the first time in his career in 2022.

By settling with the Georgia native, the Baltimore organization is settling one of its important files and could use its franchise player tag on quarterback Lamar Jackson if it doesn’t agree to it by next offseason.
