EL SEGUNDO, Calif. – The NFL’s Sunday Ticket package will continue to be available to restaurants, bars, hotels and other businesses that have DirecTV for Business.
DirecTV on Thursday struck a multi-year agreement with EverPass Media to provide its business customers with the bundle of Sunday afternoon out-of-print games on CBS and Fox. The agreement does not apply to DirecTV residential customers.
Mike Wittrock, DirecTV’s chief sales and service officer, said in a press release that his company serves more than 300,000 commercial facilities.
The NFL struck a seven-year agreement with Google last December to distribute the package to consumers, after showing it on DirecTV since 1994.
NFL owners commissioned EverPass Media to distribute NFL Sunday Ticket during March league meetings. EverPass is funded by RedBird Capital Partners with the NFL. The league’s strategic investment arm, 32 Equity, also has an equity stake.
DirecTV for Business also has the same nationwide agreement with Amazon Prime Video for NFL’s Thursday Night Football, MLS for its Season Pass package, and Apple TV+ for Friday Night Baseball to broadcast games on their satellite devices.
