The Dallas Cowboys were completely in control of their theme and easily won 43-20 against the Los Angeles Rams at AT&T Stadium on Sunday.
The first part of the meeting turned into a complete nightmare for the Rams (3-5), who conceded five touchdowns in the first two quarters. CeeDee Lamb also loved to torment the visitors’ defense, reaching the penalty area twice.

The connection between him and his quarterback, Dak Prescott, was on point. After just one period of play, Lamb had caught nine of his teammate’s passes for 122 yards. The latter totaled 304 yards on 25 successful passes throughout the game.
The only slight blemish on his afternoon of work was that the No. 4 Cowboys (5-2) suffered three quarterback sacks.
As for the Rams, the awakening came far too late, scoring a touchdown with nine seconds left in the second quarter and then another when the clock showed 11:35 left in the third quarter. Matthew Stafford, unsure whether to enter the game, struggled mightily and only turned in a 13-for-22 passing performance, amassing 162 yards through the air.
This means that the Dallas team remains perfect at home, while the Rams suffered a second away setback with this defeat.
The Cowboys face the Eagles on Sunday in Philadelphia. Los Angeles will look to return to victory against the Green Bay Packers on the same day.
Jalen Hurt’s sensational victory
It was a bad start for the Philadelphia Eagles (7-1), but the brilliance of quarterback Jalen Hurts allowed them to leave Washington with a 38-31 win over the Commanders (3-5).
With the score 14-3 in favor of the locals, AJ Brown caught a one-handed 16-yard pass from Hurts in the Commanders’ end zone. The latter was then unstoppable and after returning from the locker room he connected with Brown again, this time for 25 yards.
His best game came in the fourth quarter when he found DeVonta Smith 38 yards for another touchdown. Hurts finished the game with four touchdown passes and 319 yards through the air. This is the third time since last year that the 25-year-old has completed at least three passes of more than 15 yards that resulted in a touchdown in the same game. No one else has achieved such a feat during this time.
Another loss for the Patriots
Although he didn’t have as spectacular a performance as Hurts, Tua Tagovailoa took charge in the Miami Dolphins’ (6-2) 31-17 win over the New England Patriots (2-6).
He completed three touchdown passes, including two of more than 30 yards, and totaled 324 yards through the air. Jaylen Waddle (nine receptions) and Tyreek Hill (eight receptions) were his favorite targets. In addition, the last two cities each scored a touchdown.
For the Patriots, Mac Jones struggled again, completing just 19 of 29 passes attempted for 169 yards.
