NFL: The Dolphins win a duel at the top

In a game that many observers expected, the Miami Dolphins won 22-20 against the Dallas Cowboys at Hard Rock Stadium on Sunday.

With 3:33 minutes left in the game, Brandin Cooks thought he had given his team the victory after Dak Prescott had previously served for the touchdown. But Jason Sanders' 29-yard field goal gave his team the victory.

The kickers also had their say in this hard-fought encounter. Thanks to his placement, the Dolphins (11-4) scored 15 points, including three from more than 50 yards.

However, the meeting started well for the visitors. After allowing the game's first three points, the Cowboys (10-5) scored their first touchdown of the game at the very end of the first quarter thanks to CeeDee Lamb, who accepted Prescott's 49-yard throw.

However, it was the only lucky move for Dallas until the end of the game. With 21 seconds left in the first period, Raheem Mostert gave his team the lead on a serve from Tagovailoa.

Prescott and Tagovailoa had fairly similar encounters. While the first city picked up yards on completed passes through the areas, the second city occasionally found its receivers and made overall yardage gains.

The Buccaneers won't lose again

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers (8-7) celebrated their fourth straight win with a 30-12 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars (8-7).

We have to go back to November 26th, when the Indianapolis Colts lost 27-20, to see the Bucs lower their flag.

The second quarter was beneficial for the Florida team as they scored 17 points without conceding a single goal. The two majors, scored by Mike Evans among others, allowed Todd Bowles' men to return to the locker room with a comfortable 20-0 lead.

Trailing 30-0 with 57 seconds left in the third quarter, Calvin Ridley's touchdown saved the Jaguars from humiliation. Then he did it again, entering his opponent's end zone a second time in the final quarter of the game. However, it was too little, too late.
