NFL: The Patriots' offense awakens

For the rare time this season, the New England Patriots ended a game with a smile as they beat the Pittsburgh Steelers 21-18 on Thursday night at Acrisure Stadium.

However, this victory was not easy to achieve. By the way, Bill Belichick's men were very scared at the end of the game, as the Steelers (7-6) reduced the deficit to just three small points after Mitch Trubisky's touchdown.

Too inefficient this season, the Patriots' (3-10) offense has been effective. They had great success in the air, as evidenced by quarterback Bailey Zappe's three touchdown passes. The latter finished his evening with 19 completed passes on 28 attempts and gained 240 yards.

His opponent Trubisky not only reached the pay zone with his legs, but also passed his teammate Diontae Johnson to 25 yards a few minutes before the end of the first third. The latter caught the ball and reduced the score to 21:10.

This is the first time in more than a month that the Patriots have scored 15 or more points in a game. We'll have to go back to the tournament against the Washington Commanders on November 5th to see how they pull off such a feat of weaponry.

The New England team will face the Kansas City Chiefs on December 17th. The Steelers will face the Colts on December 16th in Indianapolis.
