In a neat touch, the NFL Twitter account changed its header to recognize the Detroit Lions' first division championship in 30 years.
The Detroit Lions are one of the best feel-good stories of the 2023 season. Having just won their first division title since 1993, the Lions are a media darling: the story of a charismatic head coach and a franchise on a roll and poised for success correctly and successfully rebuilds.
On Wednesday, the NFL made a nice gesture to the team to honor their NFC North title: It changed the header image of its official Twitter account to a photo of the Lions wide receiver room wearing their division championship jerseys saying “It's a Lock” was dressed and they followed it up with a 30:24 win over the Minnesota Vikings. They also changed their Twitter bio to read:
“Happy Holidays from your 2023 NFC North Champs”

The Detroit Lions are not only a good team, but also a marketable team. They are sweethearts, not losers. And I don't know about you, but I'm going to enjoy every second of it. It'll take some getting used to the “Detroit vs. Everybody” days, but if that's the new normal, I'm not complaining.
