NFL Week 13 Injuries: Bengals WR Tee Higgins, Jaguars RB Travis Etienne to play on “Monday Night Football” – CBS Sports

Week 13 is in full swing and teams are starting to really fight for playoff position as we begin the long run of the regular season. Of course, with it being so late in the year, injuries continue to be a prevalent storyline to watch and this weekend is no exception. The quarterback position in Cleveland in particular has taken an interesting turn, with veteran Joe Flacco named the starter against the Rams and Dorian Thompson-Robinson sidelined with a concussion. And this is just one situation that we will observe below.

Here’s a look at all of the latest injury reports for Week 13.

  • Charger: OL Zack Bailey (back), DB Ja’Sir Taylor (illness), TE Nick Vannett (concussion), S JT Woods (illness) OUT; WR Keenan Allen (quad), T Trey Pipkins III (wrist) QUESTIONABLE
  • Patriots: WR Kayshon Boutte (shoulder), WR Demario Douglas (concussion) OUT; LB Chris Board (back), OT Trent Brown (ankle), RB Ezekiel Elliott (hamstring), OL Riley Reiff (knee), G Sidy Sow (ankle), DL Deatrich Wise Jr. (shoulder) QUESTIONABLE

Allen returned to practice on a limited basis Friday and is officially questionable for Sunday’s game at New England due to a quadriceps injury. Meanwhile, Pipkins was also limited on Friday.

The Patriots will lose some wide receivers as Douglas and Boutte are out after not practicing on Friday. Douglas missed all week due to a concussion he suffered against the Giants, while Boutte was downgraded on the injury report on Thursday and missed two consecutive days due to an illness in addition to his shoulder injury.

  • Lions: QB Hendon Hooker (knee) OUT; LB Alex Anzalone (hand) doubtful; G Jonah Jackson (ankle, wrist) QUESTIONABLE
  • Saints: S Marcus Maye (shoulder), RB Kendre Miller (ankle), WR Rashid Shaheed (hamstring), LB Pete Werner (shoulder, oblique) OUT; K Blake Grupe (right groin), DE Cameron Jordan (ankle), C Erik McCoy (shoulder), WR Chris Olave (concussion) QUESTIONABLE

The Lions just designated Hooker for return, who this week was rehabilitating a torn ACL he suffered in Tennessee last year, so the rookie quarterback wasn’t expected to be activated this week. Meanwhile, Anzalone hasn’t practiced at all this week, so his outlook for Week 13 is bleak. As for Jackson, he was a full participant on both Thursday and Friday.

Head coach Dennis Allen told reporters Friday that although Olave fully participated in Friday’s practice, he was still suffering from a concussion but had a chance to play. The wideout still has one more hurdle to overcome in order to play on Sunday, so his status is still very uncertain.

  • Hawks: WR Mack Hollins (ankle), CB Mike Hughes (hand) QUESTIONABLE
  • Jets: QB Aaron Rodgers (Achilles) OUT; RB Dalvin Cook (shoulder), RB Breece Hall (hamstring), RB Israel Abanikanda (illness), OL Wes Schweitzer (calf) QUESTIONABLE

Atlanta comes into this matchup relatively healthy. Hollins, who injured his ankle in Week 9, was a limited participant every day this week, encouraging his prospects of playing on Sunday. Hughes has been training intensively all week after suffering a hand injury against the Saints last weekend. Linebacker Nate Landman (hamstring) missed practice on Wednesday but will play against New York.

Rodgers was once again limited in training but is not expected to play this week and will be sidelined as he continues his recovery from a ruptured Achilles tendon a few months ago. Meanwhile, Cook appeared on the injury report with a shoulder injury, but head coach Robert Saleh told reporters Friday that the back should be fine.

  • Cardinals: CB Antonio Hamilton (groin), CB Starling Thomas V (ankle), OL Elijah Wilkinson (neck), WR Michael Wilson (shoulder) OUT; S Joey Blount (knee), WR Marquise Brown (heel), TE Trey McBride (groin), WR Zach Pascal (personal), DL Kevin Strong (knee), S Jalen Thompson (ribs) QUESTIONABLE
  • Steelers: DT Montravius Adams (ankle) QUESTIONABLE

Despite missing the entire week of practice, the Cardinals are hoping Brown can play by listing him as questionable. McBride is also questionable after being limited on Thursday and Friday, but told reporters he is “ready to go.”

Pittsburgh listed Adams as the only player with a commitment to play at the end of the week. Safety Minkah Fitzpatrick (hamstring) has been training intensively all week, is not wearing any awards and told reporters Friday that he will play this weekend.

  • Colts: CB JuJu Brents (quad), RB Jonathan Taylor (thumb) OUT
  • Titans: WR Treylon Burks (concussion) QUESTIONABLE

Indianapolis ruled out Brents and Taylor after they both missed the entire week of practice. Taylor had thumb surgery this week and is expected to miss at least a few weeks, which will give Zack Moss a more prominent role in the Colts’ backfield.

Burks is the only Titan with injured status entering the weekend, but the wideout fully participated in Friday’s practice. However, he must go through the final steps of the concussion protocol in order to play.

  • Dolphins: OT Terron Armstead (knee, quad), RB Chris Brooks (knee), OL Lester Cotton (illness), S Jevon Holland (knee), OL Robert Jones (knee), OT Kendall Lamm (back) QUESTIONABLE
  • Commanders: CB Emmanuel Forbes Jr. (elbow), DE James Smith-Williams (hamstring) OUT; C Tyler Larsen (knee) QUESTIONABLE

Every player the Dolphins had listed as questionable for Sunday’s game against Washington was able to practice on a limited basis Friday. These include Cotton and Lamm, who were both DNPs earlier this week. Rookie running back De’Von Achane participated fully in practice Friday and head coach Mike McDaniel said he will play this week after being sidelined with a knee injury.

Washington could be without its starting center this weekend as it hosts Miami. Larsen, who missed Wednesday’s practice with a knee injury, was limited Friday and is officially listed as questionable. Meanwhile, the Commanders will play Week 13 without Forbes Jr., who has been out since suffering an elbow injury in Week 11 against the Giants. Head coach Ron Rivera called the injury “significant” earlier this week.

  • Broncos: CB Damarri Mathis (back) QUESTIONABLE
  • Texan: TE Dalton Schultz (hamstring) OUT; WR Noah Brown (knee), WR Tank Dell (calf), DT Sheldon Rankins (elbow), LB Jake Hansen (hamstring, hand) QUESTIONABLE

The only Denver player injured in Week 13 is Mathis, who did not practice on Friday after being limited on Thursday. Other than him, the Broncos are healthy going into this matchup with Houston. Wideouts Jerry Jeudy (groin) and Marvin Mims Jr. (hamstring) were both full participants on Friday after being limited on Thursday.

Dell logged two days in a row as a limited practice participant at the end of the week and is officially questionable. Brown is also questionable, but did not practice on Friday because of a knee injury.

  • Panthers: S Vonn Bell (shoulder), TE Hayden Hurst (concussion) OUT; TE Tommy Tremble (hip) doubtful; LB Marquis Haynes (back), S Jeremy Chinn (quad), LB Yetur Gross-Matos (hamstring), CB Jaycee Horn (hamstring), LB DJ Johnson (elbow), G Nash Jensen (back), CB Troy Hill (hip) QUESTIONABLE
  • privateer: OLB Lavonte David (groin), DB Jamel Dean (ankle, foot), DT Mike Greene (calf), LB Devin White (foot) OUT; LB SirVocea Dennis (illness) doubtful; WR Chris Godwin (neck) QUESTIONABLE

Carolina could lose two tight ends this weekend as the club has ruled out Hurst and lists Tremble as doubtful. This is the third straight game Hurst will miss. The team will also be without Bell and will likely look to rookie Alex Cook to start. Meanwhile, cornerback CJ Henderson (concussion) was a full participant on Friday and is not scheduled to play before the weekend.

Tampa Bay is pretty banged up heading into Week 13, especially on the defensive side. The Bucs will be without key players David, Dean and White when they host Carolina. Meanwhile, Godwin did not practice Friday after being placed on the injury report Thursday with a neck injury.

  • 49ers: DT Arik Armstead (foot), RB Jordan Mason (hamstring), WR Ray-Ray McCloud (rib)
  • Eagle: LB Zach Cunningham (hamstring), S Justin Evans (knee) OUT; TE Dallas Goedert (forearm) doubtful; TE Grant Calcaterra (ankle), DT Fletcher Cox (groin) QUESTIONABLE

Each of the 49ers’ questionable players was limited Friday and did not practice the previous two days. Armstead has said he will compete on Sunday.

Philadelphia saw the return of tight end Goedert at practice on Friday. He was limited for practice and was officially listed as questionable after practicing for the first time since suffering a broken forearm on November 5 against the Cowboys. As for Cox, he is questionable, although he was unable to practice on Friday due to a groin injury.

Browns at Rams (-3.5)

  • Tan: QB Dorian Thompson-Robinson (concussion), WR Marquise Goodwin (concussion), CB Denzel Ward (shoulder) OUT; C Nick Harris (knee) QUESTIONABLE
  • Aries: S Quentin Lake (hamstring) OUT; OLB Michael Hoecht (knee) QUESTIONABLE

The Browns have officially ruled out Thompson-Robinson due to a concussion he suffered last week against Denver, leaving veteran Joe Flacco as the starter for Cleveland in Los Angeles.

For the Rams, Hoecht hasn’t practiced the last two days after playing limited action on Wednesday.

  • Chiefs: LB Nick Bolton (wrist) OUT; RB Jerick McKinnon (groin) QUESTIONABLE
  • packer: RB Aaron Jones (knee) OUT; CB Eric Stokes (hamstring) doubtful; WR Jayden Reed (chest), WR Dontayvion Wicks (knee), CB Jaire Alexander (shoulder), CB Robert Rochell (calf), LB De’Vondre Campbell (neck), TE Josiah Deguara (hip), S Rudy Ford (biceps/ Groin), S Darnell Savage (Calf) QUESTIONABLE

Kansas City enters Week 13 relatively healthy. McKinnon was in limited action on both Thursday and Friday, so his prospects of playing on Sunday appear to be trending in a positive direction. As for Bolton, he’s still on IR and working his way back from a wrist injury.

Green Bay will be without Jones as the running back continues to battle a knee injury. Reed returned to practice Friday after missing both Wednesday and Thursday with a pectoral injury, while Alexander — who has missed six of the Packers’ 11 games this year — was limited all week.

  • Bengal: CB Cam Taylor-Britt (quad/ankle), D’Ante Smith (knee), Jay Tufele (illness) OUT
  • Jaguars: CB Tyson Campbell (hamstring), RB Travis Etienne (ribs), TE Brenton Strange (foot), TE Luke Farrell (toe) QUESTIONABLE

The Bengals received some good news on the injured team ahead of Monday’s game against the Jaguars. According to head coach Zac Taylor, wide receiver Tee Higgins (hamstring/ankle) and linebacker Logan Wilson (ankle/foot) will play. Higgins and Wilson participated fully in training. Cornerback Cam Taylor-Britt injured his foot in practice and is out.

The Jaguars are also expected to play Travis Etienne (ribs), Doug Pederson told reporters, although the running back has had limited practice all week. Strange was a late addition to the injury report as he did not practice on Saturday.
