Carolina Panthers at New Orleans Saints
Time: Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET (FOX), stream on fubo (try for free)
Open: Saints -6.5, O/U 36.5
Recommended Game | New Orleans Saints vs. Carolina Panthers
“'Oh [bleep] Here we go again.' Every week I find myself drawn to the Panthers for some reason, despite their overall terrible record and a generally terrible record against the spread. But this game is fascinating from the perspective of a New Orleans quarterback. The Saints do one of two things: 1) substitute Derek Carr, who is coming out of the concussion protocol and dealing with a shoulder injury, or 2) roll out Jameis Winston. For entertainment purposes, I'd prefer Jameis, but I'm not sure it's important for the Panthers to keep this within a field goal. The total score here is 37.5, so no one is expecting a lot of points. If Carr plays, the Saints will be a turtle on offense and he will be a checkdown Charlie. If Jameis starts, there is crazy potential for a defensive touchdown or a turnover for the Panthers to score some points.”

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears
Time: Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET (FOX), stream on fubo (try for free)
Open: Lions -4.5, O/U 46.5
Recommended Game | Chicago Bears vs. Detroit Lions
How about a player prop for this matchup?
“I’m looking at you, Jared Goff, throwing 1.5+ passing touchdowns. Goff and the Lions have struggled with ball control in recent weeks. But he still threw at least two touchdown passes in four straight games.” The Bears' pass defense was a godsend. But they're dealing with a good quarterback with some good pass catchers. You've got Amon-Ra St. Brown, you've got Sam LaPorta, who's having a big week himself. And overall: Chicago ranks 30th in passing touchdowns allowed, so I think Jared Goff gets two.

Houston Texans at New York Jets
Time: Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET (CBS), streaming on Paramount+ (click here)
Open: Texans -4.5, O/U 38.5
Recommended Game | New York Jets vs. Houston Texans
“The Jets are an absolute mess at quarterback right now. After sending Zach Wilson to the bench, the team turned the offense over to veteran Tim Boyle, who had a 63.4 passer rating in his two starts and has since been released by the team.” Now they're going back to Wilson, but he Apparently he doesn't even want to come back. Robert Saleh has since denied that report, but it's still a nightmare scenario for New York. And you're telling me they're going to keep it within a touchdown against CJ Stroud and the Texans? Losing Tank Dell for the year is a tough blow, but Stroud has other capable weapons that should help Houston break that number.
Tyler Sullivan has been one of our top NFL ATS experts this year and he has no problem scoring for the Texans. To read his Week 14 column, click here.
Indianapolis Colts at Cincinnati Bengals
Time: Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET (CBS), streaming on Paramount+ (click here)
Open: Colts -2.5, O/U 40
Recommended Game | Cincinnati Bengals vs. Indianapolis Colts
“The Bengals had a short week, but how could you not be impressed with their overtime win over the Jaguars? Jake Browning made his first NFL start in prime time and completed 32 of 37 passes for 354 yards and two touchdowns.” (One rushing.) He led the Bengals to 491 yards of total offense!
“There is no doubt that the Colts have impressed of late as they are riding a four-game winning streak for the first time since the days of Andrew Luck. However, this is Indy's second away game in as many weeks. I want to ride this wave of the Bengals.”
Jordan Dajani wants Browning to keep the Bengals in the win column this week. To read his Week 14 column, click here.
Jacksonville Jaguars and Cleveland Browns
Time: Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET (CBS), streaming on Paramount+ (click here)
Open: Jaguars -3.5, O/U 38.5
Recommended Game | Cleveland Browns vs. Jacksonville Jaguars
“When I see a Florida team playing a team from the Midwest on the road in December, the first thing I usually do is Google the weather for the game, so I decided to Google Cleveland's weather for Sunday and I did which.” Bad news for the Jaguars: It’s getting cold.
“For most teams it doesn't usually matter what the weather will be like, but for the Jaguars it matters because no one hates cold weather more than them. The game temperature on Sunday is expected to be around 45 degrees. Which I only notice because since the start of the 2018 season, the Jaguars are 1-12 in every game in which the kickoff temperature is below 45 degrees. And that only win came against the 2022 Jets, so I'm not even sure technically we can count that as a win.
“I've made it through two paragraphs of this selection without mentioning Trevor Lawrence's injury, but that's pretty big so I'm mentioning it now. I have no idea how long Lawrence will be out following his injury on Monday night, but I don't think we'll see him in this game, which means Jags will introduce CJ Beathard.
“If Beathard does indeed start, he will be starting his first game since 2020 and he will do it against a Browns defense that is giving up just 260.5 yards per game this season, which ranks FIRST overall in the NFL. The Jaguars have played two.” Other defenses ranked in the top five and averaged SIX points per game in those contests, namely WITH Lawrence (they lost to the Chiefs 17-9 and to the 49ers 34-3). They may not have scored a single point against the Browns.
“While I think the Browns' defense will dominate, that doesn't automatically mean I can pick Cleveland to win, and that's largely because of the QB situation. The Browns will either start a struggling rookie (Dorian Thompson-Robinson) or a guy who spent the first 11 weeks of the season at home on his couch (Joe Flacco).
“As someone who once sat on my couch for 11 weeks straight in college, I feel like I get along better with people like that. I’ll take Cleveland.”
John Breech scores at home for the Browns this week. To read his entertaining Week 14 column, click here.
Los Angeles Rams at Baltimore Ravens
Time: Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET (FOX), stream on fubo (try for free)
Open: Ravens -7.5, O/U 44.5
Recommended Game | Baltimore Ravens vs. Los Angeles Rams
“Use the Dolphins or the 49ers if you have them, but this appears to be the first realistic option available to a sizable portion of the remaining Survivor contenders. We had the Ravens picked up for this week in the DraftKings Survivor Pool and passed on the opportunity to take advantage of them before their bye in another difficult week, as the other available options for Week 14 don't look very enticing. The Rams are actually a quality team, but one that shouldn't be hanging with the Ravens in Baltimore, and that's before you factor in the windy weather that could give Lamar Jackson an even bigger advantage in this matchup.
“This is the last available spot to use Baltimore if you have them, so I would go ahead and do it. However, they may now be an option next week in Jacksonville if Trevor Lawrence is sidelined, so if you assess next week's options and decide there's something you like better this week, you can bet it's the Ravens “One more week to save.”
NFL expert RJ White thinks the Ravens are an option in the survivor pool this week, but they aren't the only team he's keeping an eye on. To read his Week 14 survival analysis, head to SportsLine.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers at Atlanta Falcons
Time: Sunday, 1:00 p.m. ET (CBS), streaming on Paramount+ (click here)
Open: Falcons -2, O/U 40
Recommended Game | Atlanta Falcons vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
“The Falcons play a lot of close games and have only won by more than eight points once since Week 1 (and that was a nine-point win in which they capitalized on a 92-yard pick-six). I don't expect them to win.” This game, too, by a wide margin, especially with the secondary trying to slow down Mike Evans potentially without AJ Terrell, who is in the concussion protocol. The Bucs' only loss by more than seven points since Week 6 was against the 49ers, and the Falcons are not the 49ers.
NFL expert RJ White suggests upsetting the Buccaneers this week. To check out his other Week 14 teaser segments, head to SportsLine.
Minnesota Vikings at Las Vegas Raiders
Time: Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (FOX), stream on fubo (try for free)
Open: Vikings -1.5, O/U 40.5
Recommended Game | Las Vegas Raiders vs. Minnesota Vikings
“These two are coming off their frees, which means they are rested. The Vikings must decide on a quarterback who has not yet been decided. The Raiders are 2-2 and they are playing much better football under Antonio Pierce as interim coach. I think that carries over here too.”
CBS Sports senior NFL writer Pete Prisco believes we're in for an upset this weekend in Sin City. To read his breakdown of all of this week's games, click here.
Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco 49ers
Time: Sunday, 4:05 p.m. ET (FOX), stream on fubo (try for free)
Open: 49ers -10.5, O/U 44
Recommended Game | San Francisco 49ers vs. Seattle Seahawks
“The Seahawks have lost three games in a row and are currently having major problems on defense. The 49ers are on the rise on offense. I think both teams will score as Brock Purdy continues his MVP push.”
Pete Prisco scores with the 49ers in what he believes is a high-scoring NFC West matchup. To read his breakdown of all of this week's games, click here.
Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs
Time: Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS), streaming on Paramount+ (click here)
Open: Chiefs -3, O/U 47.5
Recommended Game | Kansas City Chiefs vs. Buffalo Bills
“The Chiefs suffered an early scare against the Raiders before realizing who they are, and this is a team a step above the Bills playing here at home. The offense looked good against Vegas and Rashee Rice is developing into Patrick's No. 1 receiver. “Mahomes desperately needed it. The Chiefs' defense has been shaky on the road the last two weeks, but held Miami and Philadelphia under 300 yards at home in the two games before that. You can have similar success here, neutralizing the Bills' pass rush and getting enough stops on the defense to win, especially with Nick Bolton back. I attribute the Packers' defeat to the fact that they are in a difficult away environment and I look forward to this tremendous matchup.”
That's CBS Sports Fantasy and gambling editor RJ White, who has twice won big money in the world's most prestigious handicapping tournament, the Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest. RJ has posted a 56.5% accuracy rate on his Vegas contest picks over the last eight seasons, and he shares his five weekly picks on SportsLine. We can tell you he's leaning toward the Chiefs, but you'll want to head over to SportsLine for a full breakdown of his Week 14 contest picks.
Denver Broncos at Los Angeles Chargers
Time: Sunday, 4:25 p.m. ET (CBS), streaming on Paramount+ (click here)
Open: Chargers -3, O/U 45.5
Recommended Game | Los Angeles Chargers vs. Denver Broncos
“Unlucky not to get the moneyline win in Houston last week. But Russell Wilson isn't going to throw three more picks, go 0-11 on third down, or falter in the fourth quarter here against this defense. Sean Payton is going to bully this terribly.” Defense. The Chargers have no answer for Courtland Sutton. The Broncos have allowed just 10 offensive TDs since Week 7 (third-best) and the Chargers have scored just 46 points in their last three games. Brandon Staley is a master at scoring one-point games (0-5 in games decided by three points or fewer). This is a coaching conflict. Keenan Allen is a one-man group on offense and the Broncos aren't going to let him do what Nico Collins did last week. Los Angeles is just 2-4 at home and is fading without fan support.
NFL insider Jason La Canfora says ditch the points, just take the Broncos' money line! To read the rest of his best bets for Week 14, head to SportsLine.
Philadelphia Eagles at Dallas Cowboys
Time: Sunday, 8:20 p.m. ET (NBC), stream on fubo (try for free)
Open: Cowboys -2.5, O/U 49.5
Recommended Game | Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles
“The Eagles have major defensive problems that you don’t want to have against this high-caliber Dallas offense. The Cowboys also didn't make a good impression defensively against Seattle. The Eagles won the previous meeting, but this time the Cowboys get revenge in a high-scoring game.”
This is Pete Prisco's pick for what he calls the Game of the Week (check out all of Pete's choices here). And before you make any Eagles vs. Cowboys picks or any other NFL predictions, you need to see which side Larry Hartstein is on. A former lead writer for Covers and The Linemakers, Hartstein combines an extensive network of Vegas sources with an analytical approach he honed while working for Pro Football Focus. He finished 52nd (out of 1,598 entries) in the 2022 Westgate Las Vegas SuperContest with a 53-34-3 ATS record. These picks form the basis of his weekly SportsLine NFL Best Bets, which are 60-40-2 since the start of last season, including a 2-1 record last week. He also has a stellar 19-6 record in his last 25 picks with the Cowboys, earning $1,225 for $100 bettors.
We can tell you he's over the overall pick, but to see his official pick, head to SportsLine.
Green Bay Packers at New York Giants
