Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin returned to practice with his teammates on Wednesday.

The star player left the team on February 14 due to the death of his father. “Ovi” therefore undertook a journey of just over a week to return to his native Russia.
“Today I lost my father,” Ovechkin wrote on Instagram seven days ago. Thank you everyone for the support but please understand and do not disturb my family at this difficult time for us. THANKS.”
The Sharpshooter missed four of their own games and the “Caps” suffered as many setbacks. The American capital team is in the middle of a five-game losing streak.
Ovechkin is the Capitals’ top scorer in the 2022-23 season. He hit the target 32 times and provided 22 assists for 54 points in as many games played.
